Missionary-Evangelist, John G. Lake, established the first "healing room" in the early 1900's, in Spokane, WA. Today, there are hundreds and hundreds of healing rooms across the nation and around the world.
The vision is to have an established place, in a region, where people who are sick and hurting can come to receive compassionate, hands-on ministry and prayer from ordinary believers who believe in a good God who cares about His creation- and has provided, through Jesus (Isa 54, Mt. 8), the means to bring that healing to them (Mk. 16:18).
Healing Rooms are a place where ordinary believers, like you and I, can be equipped to minister healing to the sick (Mk. 16:18), reach out and meet a real need in society, and where believers of *various denominations and fellowships can come together under the banner of "Christ as Healer ."
If you would like more information of learning how to pray for the sick, and ministering to the sick through locval Healing Rooms, or on supporting this new ministry, either financially or through prayer, please e-mail Pastor Ryan Miller at FranklinCountyHealingRooms@yahoo.com.
*There will be no attempt to have people leave their church, or to stop paying tithes or offerings to their home church. Those who are not a part of the congregation of Greenwood Assembly of God will be required to have a referral from their local pastor. While this ministry is being launched, initially, through Greenwood, the goal is to develop a non-denominational ministry which will eventually grow to a place where ministry will occur outside of the church building, in a location in the community.
No fees will be charged. Donations are accepted, but not expected.
The Franklin County Healing Rooms are located in a wheelchair accessible local church. Please use the rear entrance.
